Clean Living Starts From the Inside Out

Here’s something that might make you feel a little better ⬇️
This month, I’m sharing tips and ideas around clean living, everything from cleaner air and water to safer products and ways to reduce environmental exposures.
But I also know something else to be true:This topic can feel stressful.
Because no matter how committed you are, there’s only so much you can control about your external environment.
So I want to offer a little reminder, something I’ve been reflecting on:

And one of the most powerful places to start?
👉 Your gut.
Your gut is one of your body’s major detox pathways and when it’s functioning well, it plays a huge role in clearing out toxins and keeping you energized, resilient, and thriving.
But when the gut is out of balance, things can get backed up (literally and figuratively). That might look like:
🚫 Sluggish elimination
🚫 Dysbiosis (imbalanced gut bacteria)
🚫 Leaky gut or inflammation
When these are present, your detox system becomes less effective and toxins that should be moving out can recirculate instead.
The good news? There are gentle, everyday ways to support your gut and by extension, your entire detox system:
✅ Eat fiber-rich foods (especially seasonal fruits + veggies!)
✅ Stay hydrated to keep things moving
✅ Aim for daily elimination (yep, bowel movements matter!)
✅ Support a diverse microbiome with a variety of plant foods, fermented foods, and time outdoors
This is why I say: ✨ Clean living can start inside you.
And often, that internal foundation is the most important one to get right.
